As owner of Joseph Research and Consulting, Jim brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to his research projects. His research repertoire includes more than 20 years of experience conducting qualitative and quantitative projects, both domestically as well as internationally. As a RIVA trained focus group moderator, he has moderated thousands of focus groups and in-depth interviews.

The majority of Jim’s research experience has been in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry. His experience includes new product and concept tests, detail aid and promotional material testing, patient QOL, brand image, market segmentation, landscape, and pricing studies, among many others. He regularly interviews senior health care executives, nurses, physicians, managed care decision makers and medical consumers throughout the country to identify their critical issues and decision-making behaviors.

His knowledge of health care market segments is highly valued. His pharmaceutical experience spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, among them CV, oncology, vaccines (both adult and pediatric), diabetes, ED, ophthalmology, psychiatry (atypical anti-psychotics, depression, anxiety, ADHD), and chronic pain as well as medical device research.

Jim uses projective techniques to circumvent respondent resistance to direct questioning and to uncover connotations that people would normally have difficulty communicating. He holds a B.S. in Business Marketing from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
